Realistically, if I'm Treliving, I give Gaudreau two options:
1.) Sign a long term deal, 7 to 8 years.
2.) Sign short term deal that takes him to one year before UFA.
There is no way Treliving signs him to a deal that takes him to his first year of UFA.
