To make DCAU as amazing as it was over the 10 - 15 years it existed, Timm deserves a lot of credit. He fought for it. He was the one that drove it. He came up with the style that was present from day one.

But he was never the story guy. Some of the worst episodes through all the series were his. I think by the time of JL, he'd just stopped altogether and left it to Burnett.
