There's also the other small wrinkle.... The NHL never does anything easy but the talk about exposing 25% of your salary cap also must be considered. Gio does help in this regard. Presuming we spend to ~74MM would mean we would have to expose $18MM.
As has been stated and thought about by everyone on CP. No easy decisions not just for the Flames but all of the GM's. Kind of glad we have a Treliving and a Burke (Who has gone through a couple of the expansions) on our side. Much better than Feaster, Ken King, and Weisbrod or that's my first thoughts.
