Depending on when they do the expansion draft, Jankowski might get affected.
I mean, if his team does not make it to the final 4, then I would have assumed the Flames would sign him and burn off a year. Now with the expansion draft looming, it may be smarter to just get him signed for next year, and have him sign an ATO.
However... it may just also make him decide to wait until August and become a UFA.
Will be interesting to see how teams will manage this. I expect there to be a lot more trading leading up to the expansion draft.
