It really depends on how they define 3rd year pro for the expansion draft. Because Gillies technically had 1 year pro last year signing with the Flames to burn an ELC year. Then this year could be considered his 2nd year pro. Next year could be considered his 3rd year.
Wish they would release the comprehensive rules right now.

That is a good question. If its just contract years - it would be his 3rd year. But he's also played 2-3 games only over those two years so could go either way depending on the criteria.
