I guess if we are providing reasons to receive these "bonus" chips, here is my piece:
I don't think my game could have gone any more according to plan. In the first half of the game I planned to lay low - my strategy for the first number of matches was to ensure I didn't get last place, that was basically it. I also wanted to get into an alliance, and ended up with a team of 4 (though I was invited in rather than being part of the formation, so there was some good luck there).
In the second half of the game I knew I would need to stave off elimination a few times because of my conservative play earlier. I was able to win both my death matches with what I thought was some pretty unique strategies, but that was partially a function of which games I played in the death match. It all worked out in the end, and I was able to advance to the final.
I guess in the end I'm saying that my plan was to slip under the radar early and then show strength in the end, and I think it worked out great. I think I was a bit naive in a few of the games (Pucks everywhere!) and maybe was a little too passive for my own good, but I stuck by my alliance the whole game, never sold anyone out, and felt I was a good team player.
So yeah, I'd appreciate the bonus chips, but give them to whomever you thought played the best or deserve it the most, based on your merit system.
