This talk of potentially trading away the franchise's first ever 1OA is surprising to me. If the Flames do win the right to draft Matthews, I would peg the odds at less than 1% that they trade it away. There is simply too much potential to have such a move blow up in your face. Matthews and McDavid would be with division rivals and we would be left with a bunch of lesser parts. No thanks, lets just find another way to get a bunch of lesser parts.
