Guess what? In the system we play that is highly unlikely. You are not going to see a player explode and become an NHL sensation. Guys work their way through the minors for a reason. They are not elite at anything and they are expected to learn to play a complete game. Unless you have Johnny Hockey talent, you are headed to the minors and will learn to play the game the way the coaching staff expects. Personally I think they are over-coached and it hurts their instinctive play, the same instinctive play that got them to this level in the first place. But until things change in the coaching ranks you aren't going to see players break out in the manner you expect.
