The fact is, the climate is constantly changing. Civilizations have come and gone and the whims of the climate. Given most of the worlds heavy emitters are doing very little to nothing, our focus should be on adaptation, not kneecapping ourselves. Sure, we can work towards reducing emissions in the long term, but lets be realistic about it.
