Ovechkin shoots right. Playing left wing allows him a better shooting angle on his forehand.

Hudler was drafted as a centre and played LW in Detroit. He's left shooting. We moved him to the off wing because smart european skilled wingers can often pull that off (or sometimes prefer it) and we had few natural RWs.
Benn plays LW/C. Last game I watched Brett Ritchie was the right shooting RWer on that line.
