For what it's worth...
I wouldn't be surprised if we have a verbal with Fletcher out of Minnesota to take on Kuemper in the off-season... sounds like a 2nd rounder will do it.
Fletcher went on record to say while he didn't make a splash at the deadline he laid the groundwork for a # of deals in the off-season apparently. Michael Russo suggests Kuemper is one of the names in that mix as they will not have cap room for him in the summer but would like to use him in their playoff push today.
Me putting two-and-two together, I'd suggest it could have easily been discussed as part of the deal we made with them at the deadline... I mean that deal was pretty uneventful. Almost feels like an appetizer between the two teams and with everything else known of the situations.
