Google News used to have much better search functionality. But if you go to news.google.com/newspapers and search using the lower search bar, you can usually do well. In this case, a search for "Gilmour lawsuit" turns that story up as the third result.
Also, if you have a Calgary Public Library card (they are free to get, and donation supported), the CPL's website has access to a huge archive of Canadian papers - mainly the current PostMedia stuff (Herald, Edmonton Journal, Vancouver Province, etc), Globe and Mail, etc. going back to about the year 2000.
