Agree with all your points, except the bolded. Baertschi leaving was best for the Flames, and for Baertschi/the Caucks. Flames look to have a solid 2nd round choice because of it, and Baertschi's brand of hockey can be utilized elsewhere, which fit's Vancouver's mold of attitude just fine (whether or not it comes to bite them in the ass later).

I call that a win-win-win.

Back on topic, it's hard to suppress the excitement when Mange seems to be hitting almost a 3-4 ppg pace in the last month. But I agree, it can be meaningless until we see him hit the pros.
