It's still hard to believe this is just the end of his second season. As good as we know he is watching him game in and game out, that still almost seems lost at times.

I think he's definitely crossed the stratosphere this season and is now in superstar territory. He's legitimately one of the top offensive talents in the game.

And this has all come playing on a team that's played very poorly where he's had to be the catalyst. I know Panarin has been great in his first year in Chicago but watching him tonight got me thinking as to what Johnny's numbers would look like playing on a team like Chicago. The fact he's putting up the numbers he is on the Flames is astounding.

We know from watching him closely every game he creates something every time he touches the puck. His vision and anticipation are up there with very few players in the game.

Still irks me that a page back he was being dismissed as a comparable for McDavid. While there's no doubt McDavid is going to be one of the best players in the league for years to come, I honestly believe Johnny's going to be right up there with him. I don't buy for a second there's a line in the sand there considering their positions etc.

In my opinion, with his vision and creativity Gaudreau is a generational talent in his own right. The fact we got him where and when we did is some serious good fortune this franchise has lacked in the last few decades.
