As to Kaepernick/Osweiler, Kaep has shown he can be a game manager with an elite defense already so seems like a logical fit. If the Broncos have such little interest in bring Brock back, that should be a pretty big red flag for the Texans or anyone else pursuing him.

I think it's mostly about price for Brock O. Denver is short on cap space and may not want to pay the ~18 mil per year for a largely unproven player. I don't think it's as much of a red flag as it is a risk assessment/management situation.
I'll be happy if the Texans land Brock, as long as the contract isn't too long. There are only one or two QBs in this draft who can start from day one, and it would cost an enormous amount to move up from pick 22 to get one of them.
It's a risk for Houston, but if it works out it could make them a solid playoff team immediately.
