Ditto. Now that I'm not always stuck riding with the ex all the time, some buddies have been pitching epic, multiday rides. Not sure how much I'd enjoy not having a hot-tub n' beer, shower, latex foam bed after an epic though. They have proposed a couple of ideas to transition into bikepacking for a noob. (1) plant a couple class-Bs 60km apart or (2) pick a ride where there are rudimentary cabins along the way (revy apparently has one, Brevard, NC too). Please let me know if you come into more knowledge regarding singletrack bikepacking.

Singletrack bikepacking is pretty hardcore dude! I don't think I would commit to that, i'm looking for something in between that is still ok on the road, but ok on gravel and dirt also. I feel that if you go right into setting a bike up for singletrack, it's going to be a beast and going to be a huge pain on the road.
