Gio has been and will continue to be a great captain for this team. His determination and dedication to fitness throughout the rebuild have been second to none. Very consistent offense and solid defense. He's the perfect example of a Captain who leads by example. Maybe he takes a few too many penalties but that's what happens when you battle like he does for 25+ minutes a game.
Iginla was great in his own right and a great presence in the community throughout his tenure. Hard to compare the two as they have many different qualities.
