Well Seattle was full credit for building up a 42-3 lead in that game, but they pretty much did as much as they could to blow that game. Despite coaching in the league for like 15 years and having won a Super Bowl Holmgren still can't figure out how to run the clock. When you're up on another team by 21+ points in the second half you run the ball three times and punt it away taking the three minutes off the clock every possession. Once in awhile you do a play fake and a short high percentage pass to mix it up. But your sole objective is to control the clock. Dropping back and throwing interceptions creates momentum swings and can kill your defence. Hopefully for Seahawks fans Holmgren finally figured out how important the clock is in the NFL. Than again like I say 15 years and he's still making pop warner coaching descisions in terms of the clock. Seattle should have walked away with that game being 42-17 at worst if they didn't make dum dum descisions.
