I said the same thing about Rene Bourque, Glencross, and Butler and was laughed at on another board. And all three are out of the league right now. I'll even put it in my signature that's how confident I am. Colborne isn't good, not as a third liner or fourth liner. He would be if he was consistent and played like he did yesterday more than once every 5-10 games. He's had his chances, he's 26 not 19 anymore.

You do realise that Colborne is 2 points away from tying his career high right? If you have a 3rd liner(which is what he is) making just over $1m and they put up 30 points, thats a player that is worth keeping. There is literally zero evidence to support your statement that he'll be out of the league within 12 months. He isn't a declining vet on the wrong side of 30 like Glencross or Bourque. He's 26(and only turned 26 in January). He's made 28 points in the last 2 seasons and will likely make 30+ by the end of this season. If thats a player you want to be rid of, you name me another that you can guarantee will put up 30 points on a $1.275m contract and I'll take them.
