Pittsburgh can take some money back just not more coming in than going out. A couple of cheaper players may work as well but now the Flames would have to find additional trades to free up cap room. Stajan is a hard guy to find a landing spot for. With Stajan gone, Raymond looking like he is going to get bought out, Smid likely going on LTIR until his contract runs out ( don't have any insider info just a hunch) Wideman becomes the only player the Flames need to move out to safely fit everybody in. Gaudreau and Monahan won't be cheap.
