The NBA did this several years ago. 18 year old high schoolers were allowed to be drafted in the past. Many Superstars came right out of High School like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Dwight Howard etc. The NBA switched the Rules for the 2006 draft. Players had to be 19 years old and one year removed from high school. The players could play a year of college, a year over seas or simply take a year off before entering the draft. As luck would have it, the first year this rule was implemented, the Toronto Raptors had the #1 overall pick. Toronto missed out on drafting Kevin Durant or Greg Oden because of this new rule. Instead Toronto got stuck with Andrea Bargnani lol
