Please explain why it would be "dumb" to qualify Ortio as an RFA. Unless this contributes to an excess of contracts for the Flames, I don't see how it would be smart to just let a 24-year-old developing goalie walk away from the organisation.

Was there a deal to be made for Hutchison at the deadline? If so, this is the first I have heard of it. As good a GM as Treliving may be, even he is not capable of just "making things happen."
