I spent a LARGE amount of my childhood catching those little fish down at Nose Creek with a dip net.

They are partly sticklebacks (mostly right along the bank).

Many of the others are just random minnows. They get quite big though... for minnows.

There are also suckers in Nose Creek... at one point I unintentionally caught one in my net... it was about 12-16 inches long... big surprise for a kid trying to find minnows.
