Romney is apparently considering getting involved in a contested convention. Is it me or is the GOP actually trying to hand it to Trump now? All this talk about contested conventions is...exactly what Trump should want because it shows textbook establishment politics, and might drive more voters to him than away from him. I really can't see them doing a contested convention unless their down ticket numbers are so terrible they might win with Trump, but will lose the House and Senate as a consequence. Don't see how a contested convention doesn't end in a bad loss in the Presidential race, but keeping either the House or Senate is obviously vital to the GOP, so if the numbers say Trump will destroy down ticket they might have no choice.
