Carter for sure. The world won't end if you leave Getzlaf, Weber and Carter at home ffs. Too many legacy picks. Think of how several of these guys were just godawful or mailing it in for the first 30 games, specifically Crosby and Getzlaf. The wear and tear on their bodies, age, and what they've all accomplished, expecting them to be anything but preseason half-ass in September is risky.
Although the Americans just made plain stupid choices in comparison. Where's Tyler Johnson, Kessel? Oh right, their GM: "We don't want the best players, we want the right ones." Burke said the same about the US team in 2014. "We picked a toolbox team." 4th place. USA Hockey is pretty thick-headed to reuse the same approach.
