I wonder if the reason they didn't use the Hockey Canada, USA Hockey, or any of the other national federations' logos, is because Nike has the IIHF contract and those are IIHF logos?

For the 2004 World Cup, the teams all pretty much used the same jerseys from the 2002 Olympics, which were made by Nike, so there wouldn't have been a problem using the IIHF logos.

It could also be the NHL not wanting to have to share any merchandise revenue with the national federations who own the logos.
