If Providence doesn't make the Frozen Four, Jankowski (and Gilmour) could be signed at the end of March and get into the final 5 or 6 games of the season. If they do go back to the Frozen Four, the chances of signing them and burning the first year of their contracts are very low (and impossible if they go back to the Final, which occurs simultaneously with the Flames' final game).
If they don't sign and burn a year, they could still sign an ATO and go to Stockton for the last few games of the season (Stockton's season ends a week after Calgary's, for some reason).
I wonder if DeBlouw will get an ATO with the Heat? MSU is unlikely to win their Conference, and that's the only way they'd get to the NCAA Tournament, so he'll likely be available in a couple of weeks.
Hickey's an interesting case. He's still eligible for two more seasons, but BU has struggled this year after such a strong season last year. I wonder if there's any concern that his game will regress if he goes back for another season? My guess is that he'll go back for one more year, and sign with the Flames next spring.
