My migraines cause no pain, but inhibit my ability to process things. I have trouble with speech/hearing and I get visual disruptions. Other people will get nausea, dizziness, depression, etc. Advil won't help with these types of symptoms.

I have the similar symptoms as well for speech/hearing as well as a pounding headache. I also have issues with vision which resembles astigmatism (normally 20/20 vision). This doesn't only happen with MSG, happens when the weather changes as well. This is doubled if I have MSG and it's a weather change.
I don't know if it's semantics for headache vs migraine as at this point, but not worth arguing about.
The above symptoms of mine are reasonably mild and annoying to be distracting and frustrating. It's not like I am at the level of debilitation of a guy who has downed a 6 pack of beers in 10 minutes after eating a plate of instant noodles/chinese food or anything like that.
