Pens have 8 forwards signed with about 750K in cap space next year. Hornqvist is a RH decent sized forward (5'11" - 190 lbs) but plays a chippy game. 29 years of age and will have 2 years left on his contract at 4.25 mill per.
He has scored at least 20 goals in 6 of the last 7 seasons. Ideally Pit would like to move Kunitz and his 3.85 mill cap hit but that will be a tougher sell.
Pit is also low on picks, if they make the playoffs they will have 5 picks (2 - 2nds, 4th, 5th, 6th)

Not a bad option to consider, wonder if something could be done around the rights to one of our RFAs, like Colborne - then they get immediate cost-controlled asset to help their NHL roster to offset losing a top 6 forward?
Hornqvist does have a NTC though, which could scuttle a deal. But they do need to move at least one of Kuntiz, Hornqvist or Daley IMO
