So? These starts for Ortio are developmental. We're not making the playoffs, they know it, we know it. So why the pitchforks for a kid trying to find some footing in the NHL. He needs the games to figure it all out. Wins or losses, as long as the effort is there, I'm just keen to see how he handles it. He might lose games (good for the draft) but he needs to learn to move past the losses and rebound from them like Kipper did.
Fans may be bitter about the goaltending fiasco, but I've seen evidence that the Flames are not giving up on Ortio, they know the ups and downs from one season to the next are key in development.
