$4 Million per year on Schultz is definitely more than he deserves.
Under Nelson he seemed to get his offensive game back, but still was terrible defensively. Having watched a few seasons of him his issues are not going to be fixed in 20 games. He has little strength and even less compete outside of the odd game here and there, and neither of those are new. His lack of ability to do the small things that win games has never developed despite his recognition of all those things and that this was a big year for him (pre-season interviews). He'll get some time and maybe look good offensively giving the puck to Pittsburgh's forwards but he's a bottom end PP guy who didn't even excel at that role.
