The best part about those people is that they seem to forget that it takes 2 to tango. No doubt Treliving probably wanted a 1st rounder and a decent prospect. But guess what folks, most GMs don't want to screw their own team for a smallish UFA rental on the wrong side of 30 who isn't having a good season and who has no guarantee of staying. If this was the best the Flames' could get, then that's the best they could get. The problem isn't that Trevling didn't get enough. The problem is that people overrate our own players and their worth and the set themselves up for disappointment around this time of the year.
I'll miss Huds. He was great for us almost his entire time and his mentor-ship to Johnny and Monahan was invaluable. And don't forget we got him for free as a UFA. So we pretty much got a 2nd rounder and 4th round pick for free.
