He's great in the room. He stepped up for sure last year, no doubt about it. All I'm saying is the numbers can't really lie, too many shots against when he's on the ice and to an extent where he sticks out on his team year after year.

Gelinas didn't have to weigh in at all, they didn't press him about it, he brought it up himself out of nowhere.
I dunno the idea that some stats tell us more about a player then coaches who've worked with the guy for a couple years? That's questionable. I put a lot more stock into what our coaches think about players then what advanced stats say about anybody.
