Not entirely his fault, but also not blameless either.

Poor shot block attempt on Virtanen in the slot which allowed him to score against Vancouver. Poor giveaway on the Wild's first goal, weak shot block attempt which led to their 4th. Done like a kipper on Anaheims 2nd in their game at the Dome. Drawn badly out of position on their 6th, not even in the frame when they score. And that's just in our last 5 games. And that's just the mistakes he's made that have, in part, led to goals.

If that's him playing really well, I dread to think what might happen if he starts playing badly. I simply don't agree at all that he's playing well. He doesn't pass the eye test and he certainly doesn't pass the stats test.

I know he won't scratch Engellend over Nakladal. But then, Hartley has been making poor decisions on the defence all season. I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one, because I can't be dealing with people who consider their opinion fact and absolute. Does my head in.
I agree with you here. I love that the guy fought two Canucks at once, and we hear he is great "in the room" but his play on the ice leaves something to be desired. Would be a worthwhile depth guy if he did not have such an anchor contract.

It is interesting that Hartley healthy scratches him a few times and then in other games, he plays more than Hamilton.
