I am good friends with the sailor mentioned and am not trying to take anything away from his moment and the history marker.

I just think it's silly for the media to try and spin it that the RCN somehow set this up as a way to show the CF's acceptance of same sex couples.
We absolutely support individual rights and freedoms to love anyone you chose.

This is all blown out of proportion as this is the traditional greeting for men in the Navy.
