Ortio has played 6 games, made 3 starts, had 5 results credited to him and he still has a better save % than Hiller as of this moment. Just hope he can keep this up, because if he gets lit up even once, Hartley will sit him down and roll with Hiller again.
Didn't watch the game, but the general consensus seems to be that the Flames played alright and gave it their best shot tonight. I can take that. PP continues to roll, which is good. Another point for Hudler which is good. Gaudreau and Monahan chipped in, which is good. Slipped a place to 25th, which is good.
Bummer that our PK continues to suck. One of the Brad's jobs in the summer is to seriously evaluate whether Gelinas continues as the special teams coach. Or, failing that, he needs to look at the bottom of the roster and maybe look to add a PK specialist to help out in that area. It's killing us.
