Sorry I can't defend this guy. If he was abused as a child he should be interested in breaking the chain of abuse instead of accepting he wants to have sex with a minor. He may be able to control himself in a normal situation but I have doubts he would not act given the opportunity or if he was under the influence. He needs to get real help to deal with his trauma from childhood.
