He's not asking for a trade. The Jays are competing this year so they won't trade him before the deadline, they know that and he knows that.
I still don't see why I should hate on the guy just for saying what he wants to get paid (and might actually get paid... although I suspect if he does it'll be a lower AAV with deferred money).
