I too have unlimited long distance, so I have no idea what my calling boundary is anymore.
But I will offer up this tip, just in case anyone is unaware: Enter all of your numbers, even local ones, into your phone with the 1 and the area code. Local calls go out just fine, and you'll never have to manually enter a 1 (or listen to the annoying message saying that you should have) ever again for long distance. An added bonus is that when you're out of town and calling home, it also works seamlessly.
