Really? There isn't some level of explanation you'd want for a guy who they left on the side of the road with his hands and legs tied fairly securely suddenly appearing on the roof of their vehicle miles down the road? That's not a 'little detail' -- it was an integral scene in the episode that fundamentally made made zero sense. The only explanation is that he somehow untied himself and completely silently clambered on to the roof of the truck in a matter of seconds. But then, Darryl fingered the guy in the side mirror as they drove away too -- wouldn't he have noticed that he wasn't there anymore?
People complain and nitpick this show a lot in this thread and I let a lot of things slide but that was just way too big of a jump. It didn't make sense at all -- same with them leaving their car at the other farm and both going in the truck. It was clearly not done for any reason that would make sense other than "We need them to do that for the story".
