Demko and MacDonald are both young prospects that are a few years away. And they both hold a similar likelihood of becoming regular NHL goaltenders: under 25%. Absolutely nothing decided between them at this point.
If the Flames had drafted Demko instead of MacDonald, they would be in EXACTLY the same situation they are in now. Exactly.
And they would be behaving in exactly the same way (trying to acquire another goalie).
