The problem with a lot of these systems (especially nav) is that most of them are relatively old tech as soon as you buy them, and often functionally obsolete by the time you sell them (if you're keeping it for 5+ years). Personally, the last thing I want in my car is old tech that I dont use but may have to replace.

So you think people spend 2k plus extra because they want to know directions? Navigation system adds value and it makes the car look nicer.
Look at any car on the used market right now. The difference between the same car with navigation and one without is not in the hundreds.
