*CBC television isn't great (I really only watch the news on there) but I give them credit for trying. Likewise, I give credit to PBS, though I wish they didn't have to beg so much.
Basically I wish TV was more like BBC and Channel 4 in the UK, where there's room not only for entertainment but interesting shows about architecture or art or nature or history, etc.
