Came here to rant about Harry Potter. Tried to read the books twice before I had kids - genuine and honest efforts to enjoy them. Thought they sucked. Recently read the first book to my kids - it's even worse read out loud. J.K. Rowling is a terrible writer.
Other hates that everyone else likes:
Eggs - I love the idea of going out for breakfast. Who isn't hungry at 9 am for a tasty meal cooked by somebody else, especially when you're hung over? But I crack a breakfast menu and all I see is eggs, eggs, and more eggs. Yeah, I could get a side of bacon (love bacon), a side of hash browns (love has browns), a side of sausage (love sausage), and maybe some toast. But them I'm looking at $18, when I could just get the two egg special, that includes all that stuff for $12. So I get the two egg special, hold the eggs.
