It is what it is in that the GM made the team better but the head coach couldn't get it to work coming off a promising season where this "incredible puck luck" team won a playoff series.

I'm not saying last year shouldn't count, Hartley had a lot to do with the team playing so well. The blip on the radar may have been the wrong word but he's done fairly well with the teams presented to him, he came aboard when the Flames were dismantling the team and right into a rebuild. IMO the culture he brought aboard with the club is worth more then what most people place on a coach.
