Actually, goaltenders often save pucks they don't see when they're positionally sound.
In the instance of Hiller, when you're consistently down early and on your knees 98% of the time, you're not giving yourself much of a chance to stop anything more than a foot off of the ice.
I have a hard time understanding the number of Calgary Flames goaltender apologists on CP. They need to be better, plain and simple.
