Comments like this make me believe that people don't get he plays games in the AHL. Complaining about the "opportunities" he's getting at the NHL level when he's crapping the bed in the AHL make no sense.
Why should he get more than a couple of games to prove himself in the NHL when he's not making anything out of his AHL starts. That logic suggests we need to call up every player from Stockton at some point and give them a bunch of games at the NHL level "just in case". You earn your NHL opportunities, and that starts in the AHL. Ortio hasn't earned a sniff this year IMO, but because of injuries and some really bad NHL goaltending from Hiller and Ramo, he might just get another whiff that he hasn't earned, hopefully he makes the most of it.
