I've been hoping Ortio would finally figure it out, but if he can't grab the job with the situation that happened to start the year, then I doubt he ever will. He's had problems with the start to seasons, and has often taken multiple weeks to get in game shape. You can't have that in the NHL. Your goalies need to be ready from day 1. It's the same reason I want to move on from both Hiller and Ramo.
He's had moments where he looks like the 2nd coming of Kipper. Then he has moments where he looks like the 2nd coming of "Red Light" Racicot. If he shows up this time around and stinks, he's done as far as I'm concerned.

His stats were essentially identical to the other two at the time.
And I am not sure that one game, after sitting for over a month while the other two shat the bed over and over, constitutes much of a chance (he was set up to fail).
Not saying he deserved more, just saying he wasn't given much of a chance.
