His two game opportunity, what a real solid look.

All the goalies were playing at the same level to start the year.

It's not enough to know. The Flames are done this year, so at this point, yeah, they might as well take a serious look. Saying "we'll know full well he had enough chances" after what is likely to be a couple to a few more starts is ridiculous.

I've been hoping Ortio would finally figure it out, but if he can't grab the job with the situation that happened to start the year, then I doubt he ever will. He's had problems with the start to seasons, and has often taken multiple weeks to get in game shape. You can't have that in the NHL. Your goalies need to be ready from day 1. It's the same reason I want to move on from both Hiller and Ramo.

He's had moments where he looks like the 2nd coming of Kipper. Then he has moments where he looks like the 2nd coming of "Red Light" Racicot. If he shows up this time around and stinks, he's done as far as I'm concerned.
It's almost like he's looked like a young goalie with little NHL experience.
