IIRC Drudge is owned by News Corp., so when you quote Drudge, you are also quoting FoxNews. Don't confuse the breaking of a story with the start of the echo. Just because a story "breaks and catches fire" does not make it true. There have been plenty of stories which have broken, started to make the rounds, then be proven false. A great example is the "story" that broke from the Washington Times (another terrible source of information) this morning in regards to the HMX and RDX explosives that disappeared in Iraq. They stated that one of the networks (CBS or ABC) had information pointing to the Russians sending in special forces teams to move the material to Syria, right underneath the noses of the no fly zones and the satellites over head. No sooner had that story broke and was catching fire than Yahoo (AP really) released the story that a radical group claimed they had the explosives. The Times withdrew their story quickly. The spin that is going on right now is unbelievable.
Ha ha has that already been disproven? That bald-headed lunatic G.Gordon Liddy was on Crossfire this afternoon going on about that like it was the gospel. That's different than Giuliani though, who blamed it on the troops in Iraq.

Back to this thread -- I know the Republicans are trying to run with this "the terrorists want Kerry to win" theme, but does anyone actually buy that? It wasn't George W. they were trying to strike, it was the US. Are they going to change their tactics with a new president? Have they been "half-assing" it all this time, just waiting for another president to come along and then they'll really get things going?

It's just another grey-haired infidel to them. They aren't going to change tactics or do anything different because of the miniscule differences between the Democrats and the Republicans.

Lament #60564 on this topic from me: How come people think Kerry is a wimp and George and Dick are the tough guys? They were all against the Vietnam war, but the guy who actually went is the coward. I don't get it.
